Okay, so maybe I arranged my day around the three trips to three different stores it took to get my hands on the size 19 needles, but I wanted to do this right. Three stores in the cold rain is a small price to pay for cheerful turquoise bliss.
It’s a bit of a struggle to do those first cable rows on such a large scale, but I have to say, after all that lacework, the quick pace is refreshing. One hour of knitting and I’ve got almost a foot done on the scarf. This is fiber fast food. Every once in a while it just hits the spot, you know? On a cold and rainy Chicago October afternoon, this was a perky shot in the arm.
